Description
COP-3B extends the COP hatch control range to three spring-return push buttons, giving one additional control function in the same hand-sized enclosure. It is used where a hatch or door mechanism needs a third action — a stop, a lock or a second drive direction — at the local control point.
Where three buttons are needed
Two-button stations cover a simple open/close duty. The COP-3B suits mechanisms where a third function must sit alongside the two direction buttons, for example a separate stop function or a second actuator on the same hatch, without moving up to a larger multi-function pendant.
The buttons use the same legend style as the rest of the range, so the direction assignments are readable at a glance and knowable by touch.
Protection for wet and dusty service positions
The enclosure is rated IP54: protected against dust ingress and against water sprayed from any direction. That suits outdoor hatch positions, deck equipment areas and dusty industrial surroundings, but not continuous immersion.
If your installation calls for a higher ingress rating or an emergency stop function, review the other COP models before ordering so the station matches the duty.
Spring-return push buttons
Every actuator is spring-return, so the controlled function stops as soon as the button is released. This hold-to-run behaviour is the standard arrangement for jog controls on hatch and door drives.
Mounting and wiring
Cable entry is through a gland at one end of the housing, and the enclosure closes with screws around a gasket. Leave room for the cable bend radius at the gland end, and clamp the cable so the gland does not carry its weight.
Check continuity, insulation resistance and function assignment before commissioning. Connection and periodic inspection should be performed by qualified personnel under the applicable local regulations.
