COP-4B is the four-button member of the COP hatch control family. It packs four spring-return push buttons into the same hand-sized enclosure, so a mechanism that needs four local functions can be operated from a single station instead of two separate boxes.
Four control functions in one station
Typical four-button duties are a pair of direction functions for a main actuator plus a pair for a secondary actuator, or two directions with separate stop and reset actions. Grouping them keeps the operator at one control point and avoids mixing controls from different boxes on the same machine.
The buttons follow the same legend layout as the rest of the range, so the function of each position stays readable in poor light and recognisable by touch.
Protection for wet and dusty service positions
The COP-4B enclosure is rated IP54: dust ingress is limited and water sprayed from any direction will not harm the station. It suits outdoor hatch service positions and dusty industrial surroundings, but is not designed for continuous immersion.
Spring-return push buttons
All four actuators are spring-return. The controlled function stops the moment the operator releases the button, which is the hold-to-run behaviour expected of jog controls on hydraulic drives.
Mounting and wiring
The cable enters through a gland at one end of the housing. Because the station carries more conductors than a two-button model, allow a generous bend radius at the gland and provide strain relief so the cable weight is not taken by the gland or terminals.
Verify continuity, insulation resistance and function assignment before the station enters service. Electrical connection and periodic inspection should be carried out by qualified personnel under the applicable local regulations.
