Description
COP-A2B adds a mushroom-head emergency stop to the two-button hatch control box. The station gives a hydraulic hatch or door drive a local control point with two direction buttons and a dedicated stop actuator that can be reached without looking away from the mechanism.
Emergency stop plus two direction buttons
The upper actuator is a red mushroom-head emergency stop; below it sit the two spring-return direction buttons used for hold-to-run control of the drive. That combination lets the operator stop the movement immediately and then drive it back, using one hand on one station.
The emergency stop is a twist-release mushroom head with direction arrows moulded into the cap, so the release action is unambiguous under pressure.
Protection for wet and dusty service positions
The enclosure is rated IP54, protecting against dust ingress and water sprayed from any direction. It is suited to outdoor hatch positions and dusty plant areas, but not to continuous immersion.
Spring-return operation
Both direction buttons are spring-return, so the drive stops as soon as the button is released. The emergency stop is a maintained actuator that must be deliberately released before restarting — a distinct action from the momentary direction buttons.
Mounting and wiring
The cable enters through a gland on one side of the housing and the enclosure closes with screws around a gasket. The emergency stop adds contacts to the circuit, so plan the conductor count and terminal space before ordering.
Because an emergency stop forms part of the machine safety function, its circuit design, wiring category and functional testing must follow the applicable machinery safety requirements for the installation.
