COPB-94ER2 is the aluminium-bodied member of the IEHC COP control handle range. Where most pendant stations on the market use an ABS plastic shell, this handle uses a high-density die-cast aluminium alloy casing — a change that addresses the two weaknesses buyers raise most often: a shell that cracks under impact, and a shell that cannot hold a high ingress rating.
Die-cast aluminium instead of ABS
The enclosure is die-cast aluminium alloy, not moulded plastic. An aluminium body resists the knocks and crush loads that a pendant takes in a workshop or on a hoist trolley, and it holds its shape around the sealing faces so the gasket keeps working after an impact.
The handle is rated IP68 for ingress protection. IP68 is the highest of the standard IP levels and covers prolonged immersion under agreed conditions, well beyond the spray and dust protection of a typical plastic pendant. Confirm the immersion depth and duration your installation requires when ordering, because IP68 performance is defined by the test conditions agreed between supplier and user.
Two, four or six position configurations
The control handle is supplied in 2, 4 and 6 position arrangements so the same body family covers simple two-motion hoist duty through to complex multi-motion control. On the six-position version the layout adds start and emergency stop to the directional keys, so a full sequence — direction selection, start and stop — can be operated with one hand.
State the number of positions and the function assigned to each when ordering. The button legend is set at manufacture, so the required labels must be fixed before the station is built.
