YJ Electric Chain Hoist (Low Headroom)

Description

The YJ low-headroom electric chain hoist is the configuration for installations where the distance between the beam and the highest working position is tight. Instead of hanging the hoist below a trolley, the low-headroom arrangement brings the body and the travel gear together, so the hoist consumes less vertical space and the hook can be raised higher for the same beam.

Where low headroom matters

Low-headroom hoists are used where existing structure cannot be raised and the required hook height still has to be reached: retrofit installations under shallow beams, workshop bays with limited clearance above the crane rail, service positions below mezzanine floors, and buildings where the roof or services sit close to the crane.

Overall body height starts at 315 mm on the YJ0.5-01 and YJ01-01 — against 471 mm for the standard running type — which is the vertical space the low-headroom arrangement recovers.

Travel and lifting

The low-headroom hoist is a running configuration, with a powered trolley travelling at 21 m/min. The hoist motor and travel motor are separate, so lifting and travel are controlled independently and a heavy load can be moved along the beam at a controlled speed.

The compact flange dimension (R 145, T 210, I φ31) keeps the assembly close to the beam, which is what allows the reduced overall height.

Easy maintenance

The body combines a rigid frame with a flexible internal layout, so components can be replaced quickly without dismantling the complete hoist. Electrical parts, the brake and the travel gear can be inspected in place, which keeps the hoist available on a bay that may have no spare headroom for a second unit.

Voltage and control options

Input voltage covers 110 V to 480 V with a low-voltage control circuit over a 24 V to 48 V range. Because the hoist sits tight to the beam, confirm the cable route and conductor arrangement when ordering.
